A Beginner’s Guide to Mixing: Effects, Saving and Backing Up

After you feel that everything is good to go for your mix, the last step is to add effects. This is the icing on the top of the cake for your mix. Most basic or stock effects in DAWs will include Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Distortion, Filter, Flanger, etc. Usually when I am mixing, I will come up with a few ideas for effects that I want to use on certain instruments or vocals.
